Registered Veterinary Technician (Surgery) – SAGE Concord
$32.00–$42.00/hour (DOE) + $3,000 Sign-On Bonus + $5.50/hour Shift Differential (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)
Full-Time opportunity in Concord, California
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week

In Your Day-to-Day You Will
Prepare surgical suites, instruments, and patients for a variety of specialty surgical procedures.
Administer, monitor, and adjust anesthesia to ensure patient safety throughout surgery.
Assist board-certified surgeons by maintaining aseptic technique, passing instruments, and anticipating procedural needs.
Monitor patients throughout surgery and provide comprehensive post-operative nursing care.
Administer medications, pain management protocols, and fluid therapy as prescribed.
Capture and process diagnostic radiographs to support surgical planning and patient care.
Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
Maintain complete and accurate electronic medical records.
Provide compassionate client education regarding post-operative care, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
Assist with emergency surgical procedures as needed.
Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, RVTs, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture.
What You Bring
Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
Clinical experience in veterinary surgery required; specialty hospital experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, surgical nursing, aseptic technique, and perioperative patient care.
Excellent mathematical skills, including drug dosage calculations, CRIs, and treatment estimates.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative specialty environment.

Competitive Compensation
$32.00–$42.00/hour, based on experience and skill set
$3,000 Sign-On Bonus
$5.50/hour shift differential for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM
